Mack is a really rebellious horse and he think that he's the boss and acting therefor, so protective shoes and helmet are more or less a must when leading him to avoid that accidents happens since he's bouncing around and pushing you etc so only those that know him well can take him. When being ridden, he's leaving his bad boy attitude at home and seeings dangerous monsters with teeths in both back and front behind every single stone so you as the rider must be awake and prepared if he reacts or you will chew grass in next second meanwhile he bolts home and leave you alone on the road.
